Enjoy lunch near the Pyramids followed by an unforgettable walk through the sounds and smells of the Khan El Khalili bazaar.
In Luxor you’ll get to visit the Valley of the Kings, containing tombs of the Pharaohs, the spectacular temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the rock face of Deir el Bahri, the Colossus of Memnon and the monumental Temples of Karnak and Luxor with a felucca ride across the Nile.
Cross the Sinai Desert, through the amazing lunar landscape, to the Monastery of Santa Katarina – the oldest Christian monastery in existence. See the famous Chamber of the Skulls, ‘burning bush’ and the Icon Gallery with 6th Century Scriptures before returning via the old Bedouin town of Dahab for some shopping.
Trek to the summit (approx 3 hrs) and watch as the blanket of night is swept away and a new sun illuminates and floods the surrounding area with spectacular colour. After your descent a visit to St Catherine’s Monastery is included. Guests must be fit and able as trek is strenuous.
Set off into the mountains to watch the sunset with your guide, convoy style, and within minutes you will be whizzing across the desert landscape. Min age 16.
Journey across the boundless ‘moon’ landscape to Wadi El Aat, and take a camel ride, which will lead you to the Bedouin tent. There you will hear about the Bedouin way of life and enjoy a simple but tasty meal under the star filled desert sky.
Experience the wonders of deep space in the quiet of the desert on this 3 hour trip. Explore the night sky through 8” and 10” computer directed telescopes whilst enjoying a peaceful tea with the Bedouins and try a ‘shisha’ - Egyptian water pipe.
An evening of Egyptian culture and entertainment. Enjoy an Egyptian four course dinner followed by a show in the main arena featuring belly dancers, Egyptian folk dancers and horse-back riding exhibitions with a Sound & Light show depicting the ancient history of Egypt.
Spend a relaxing day aboard a luxury boat where you can either snorkel and discover the colourful marine life or simply lie back and soak up the sun.
Have an adventurous drive across the desert in a jeep until you reach the Blue Hole snorkelling site in Dahab. Admire the reef and fish in this world renowned site before having lunch and a stroll or some shopping along the promenade in Dahab. * Excursion requires a minimum of four people to depart from Dahab.
