Luxor Excursion

Half Day East Bank

On this trip you will get the chance to visit the impressive Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in the world, and the Temple of Luxor, constructed by Ramses II, with its magnificent colonnaded courts. The trip ends with a walking tour through the local market.

Half Day West Bank

This trip starts off with a visit to The Valley of Kings, tombs carved deep into the mountains safeguarding them from grave robbers. Tutankhamun, Ramses the Great and Tuthmosis III’s tombs lie in this sprawling necropolis. This is followed by a visit to The Valley of Queens and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an astonishing terraced temple partly embedded into the limestone mountain itself. The trip ends with a brief photo stop at The Colossi of Memnon.

Half Day Dendara by Road

Visit the town of Dendara and the Greco-Roman Temple of Hathor, with its astronomical ceiling and rooftop sanctuaries offering a unique insight into solar rituals.

Full Day Dendara by Cruise

Board a Nile Cruise and sail to the town of Dendara. Here you will get to visit the Temple of Hathor, whose Hypostyle Hall houses the famous astronomical ceiling. An open buffet lunch will be served on board, as well as afternoon tea, on the sail back to Luxor.

Full Day Abydos & Dendara

This day starts off with a trip to Abydos, an Ancient Egyptian pilgrimage site, cult centre of the god Osiris. Its superbly carved Temple of Seti I houses some of the best preserved reliefs among the ruins of Abydos, while the walls of the Temple of Ramses II record the famous battle of Qadesh. After taking in the temples of Abydos you will be driven to Dendara to explore the Temple of Hathor.

Full Day East & West Bank

The day starts off with a visit to The Valley of Kings, tombs carved deep into the mountains safeguarding them from grave robbers, followed by a visit to The Valley of Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch will be in a local restaurant on the East Bank, before visiting Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in the world, and the Temple of Luxor, constructed by Ramses II, with its magnificent colonnaded courts. The trip ends with a walking tour through the local market.

Half Day Luxor Museum

Established in 1975, the Luxor Museum contains a collection of high quality Pharaonic relics excavated in Luxor and nearby areas.

Balloon Ride

You will be transferred by motor boat to the West Bank for a stunning 35 – 50 minute balloon ride over the West & East Bank Temples (depending on wind speed and direction).

Felucca Trip

Feluccas offer an unforgettable, uniquely Egyptian experience. Departing from the east bank you will sail to Banana Island for a half hour stay, before sailing to the west bank for a camel ride and hot oriental drinks.

Full Day Aswan Highlights

The city of Aswan is a cultural gem with a decidedly African flavour. Your day will start off with a trip to see the High Dam and then the Unfinished Obilesk. You will then be taken by boat to the Island of Philae and its Temple of Isis.

Full Day Edfu, Kom Ombo & Aswan

The trip starts off in Edfu, which boasts the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. The next stop on the trip is the town of Kom Ombo, associated with the Ptolemaic Temple of Haroeris and Sobek. You will then be driven to Aswan to see the High Dam and the Unfinished Obilesk, followed by a boat ride to the Island of Philae and its Temple of Isis.

1 Day Cairo by Plane

Visit the fantastic Egyptian Museum with its unrivalled collection of over 136,000 items on display, dating back to the very origins of a united Egypt in 3,100 BC. You will be given a guided tour inside the Pyramids area including The Great Pyramids of Cheops and Chephran. After lunch, which is served in local restaurant overlooking the Pyramids, you will get to visit an art craft factory, be given a guided tour of the Citadel and take a trip to Khan el Khalili, the famous Cairo bazaar.

2 Day Cairo by Plane

Day one takes in the Pyramids, the Sphinx of Giza and Valley Temple. Optional activities in the evening include a Nile dinner cruise or a sound & light show. Day two starts off with a visit to the Egyptian museum followed by a visit to an art craft factory with a presentation of ancient techniques on the making of papyrus, perfume and jewellery. After lunch you will be given a guided tour inside the Citadel followed by a trip to Khan el Khalili, the famous Cairo bazaar.
